Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees decides on the use of the income from assets and donations in accordance with the purpose of the foundation. The Board of Trustees consists of the following members:
Prof. Dr. Andreas Walter Bett |
Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systemes ISE in Freiburg, Germany and holder of the professorship "Solar Energy - Materials and Technologies" at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Freiburg. He received his diploma in physics and the state examination in physics and mathematics at the Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg in 1988 and 1989. He wrote his diploma thesis on "Optimization of epitaxial GaAs/GaAIAs layer structures for solar cells" at Fraunhofer ISE under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adolf Goetzberger. Andreas W. Bett received his doctorate from the University of Constance in 1992 and has been working at Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg since 1987. |

Markus Elsässer |
Founder and CEO of Solar Promotion Group, an international conference and exhibition organizer with a focus on renewable energy. In 1991, while studying mechanical engineering, he founded Intersolar, the world's leading trade fair series for the solar industry with events on four continents. Parallel to Intersolar, he developed other leading industry events with the Solar Promotion Group, which promote the topics of renewable energies, decentralization and digitalization of the energy industry as well as electromobility.
